Self-Paced, Online Course
Seesaw Educator is a self-paced, online program. Participants can begin anytime and go at their own speed throughout the program.
Upon enrollment, you will receive a program invitation email from TCEA’s learning management system (Instructure’s Canvas) that will give you access to the self-paced course. Within the course, you will find modules that must be moved through in sequential order. The modules can be found below.
|Module 1||Seesaw Setup||Are you asking yourself where do you begin? I’ll walk you through how to set up your class, add students, connect parents, and set up at home learning codes. You will also learn how to enable student comments as well as family comments.|
|Module 2||Create and Post Work||How do students add work? Seesaw has the capabilities for students to create and complete work without using any other app or website. You will learn how students can take pictures, draw, video, and so much more.|
|Module 3||Seesaw Library||Let’s learn about the most wonderful aspect of Seesaw, the Seesaw library. The library houses assignments created by other teachers. I will walk you through where to find the library, how to search for assignments, and you will even learn how to edit already created items. This feature is very beneficial for busy teachers.|
|Module 4||Feedback and Editing||Are you afraid you will miss adding stickers to student work or drawing happy faces? Seesaw has the capabilities for the teacher to like and comment on each completed assignment. You will also learn how to edit items, send back incorrect work for a redo, and create folders to organize student work. The last feature you will learn about in this module is printing QR codes. Do you want to share your student’s work for your school to see? Seesaw creates a QR code for each assignment for you. Learn how to print QR codes for assignments to create living displays.|
|Module 5||Seesaw Library and Assignments||Can’t find the perfect assignment? Let’s learn how to create your own assignments in the Seesaw library. You will learn how to type instructions, add voice instructions, include your template and assign to students. You will also learn how to share your creations with other colleagues.|
