Self-Paced Online Course
Seesaw Content Creator is a self-paced, online program. Participants can begin anytime and go at their own speed throughout the program.
Upon enrollment, you will receive a program invitation email from TCEA’s learning management system (Instructure’s Canvas) that will give you access to the self-paced course. Within the course, you will find modules that must be moved through in sequential order. The modules can be found below.
|Module 1||Blended Learning Facilitator||What is Blended Learning? It can mean different things to different people. We will look at teaching students that are online, in person or a combination. You will learn how to set up, manage and plan Seesaw experiences. Author John Hattie says, “It is not the time in class, but what we do in the time we have, that matters.” Let’s learn to plan for things that matter.|
|Module 2||Activity Designer||In this module, you will learn to create personal experiences with Seesaw Activities. I will show you a variety of ways to provide learning opportunities for your students. They will have the opportunity to reflect, imitate and experience.|
|Module 3||Skills Analyst||Data collection is not the most fun thing that teachers do, but it’s definitely a necessity. Good data can help teachers improve teaching and learning. If keeping track of data is not your strong suit, Seesaw skills can make the process easier.|
|Module 4||Blog Facilitator||Help your students learn to give feedback and connect with others. Let's explore the Seesaw Blog. Author, Katie Martin says “An authentic audience pushes learners to work hard and go through the process to create the best product because of the public nature of the work.” Students will be able to communicate with other students in their class or around the world with the Seesaw Blog.|
|Module 5||Student Content Creation||What are some tools that students can use to create content? I will show you a few apps and web based tools that students will love to use to express their creativity. You will be able to give students some choice of how to show what they know.|
