A Note on the Recent TCEA Bylaw Changes

TCEA members recently approved changes the association’s bylaws, with 97% of members who voted approving the changes. The election took place between Monday, September 16, 2019 and Friday, September 27, 2019.

The approved changes to the bylaws from the TCEA Board of Directors include minor grammatical edits and corrections, as well as the elimination of the position of Convention Chair Elect on the board. The reason for the elimination of the CCE position is that the TCEA staff can handle the duties of the Convention Chair Elect. This will also reduce the amount of work being asked of board members.

The current Convention Chair Elect, Dr. Brian Brown, will still complete his service in that position this year and then move into the Convention Chair position on April 1, 2020.
