The purpose of the Canva Specialist course is to dig deep into the Artificial Intelligence (AI) aspects of Canva Magic Studio and AI-powered apps. You will learn how to use these features through a variety of video and GIF tutorials. A short refresh of Canva basics is included in the course. The intended audience of this course is any K-16 educator or district staff member who would like to dive deeper into Canva’s AI features. Learn to quickly design beautiful, engaging content.
While not a prerequisite for this course, you are encouraged to review the content in the Canva Educator, a separate course.
Self-Paced, Online Course
Canva Specialist is a self-paced, online program. Participants can begin anytime and go at their own speed throughout the program.
Upon enrollment, you will receive a program invitation email from TCEA’s learning management system (Instructure’s Canvas) that will give you access to the self-paced course. Within the course, you will find modules that must be moved through in sequential order. The modules can be found below.

Magic Multimedia Tools: Create engaging visuals and videos using Magic Switch, audio tools, animations, and Canva’s built-in media library.
Photo Editing: Edit and enhance images using tools like Background Remover, Magic Eraser, Magic Grab, and Magic Expand.
AI-Powered Apps: Use AI-powered tools to create dynamic designs and generate personalized materials with data integration.
Canva Resource Library: Discover and customize Canva’s library of lessons, activities, and templates for classroom use.
