Self-Paced Online Course

Artificial Intelligence for Educators is a self-paced, online program. Participants can begin anytime and go at their own speed throughout the program.

Upon enrollment, you will receive a program invitation email from TCEA’s learning management system that will give you access to the self-paced course. Within the course, you will find modules that must be moved through in sequential order. The modules can be found below.

 

Course Modules

Value of AI: In this module, you will learn the fundamentals of AI, the value of using AI as an educator, and precautions to be aware of when using AI for yourself as well as when students are using AI tools.

AI Standards: In this module, you will learn about AI standards and various organizations that are working together to codify AI standards for teachers and students. You will also learn about the digital divide and how you can minimize it for your students.

Assessing AI: In this module, you will learn how to assess AI tools using three different methods so you can choose the method that best fits your needs.

Using AI in the Classroom: In this module, you will learn about various ways that AI can be used in the classroom. You’ll also gain instruction on how and why to teach students to write prompts. Various AI tools are shared as well as additional resources to explore.

Using AI to Support Teacher Productivity: In this last module, you’ll identify various ways AI can support teacher productivity and dive into using generative AI to create rubrics, lesson plans, and quizzes. You will also have access to additional resources to explore in order to find great AI tools to use.
